Name: Hyourinmaru Owner: Toushiro Hitsugaya Information: Looking like a Katana blade, it has a light purple handle and a star shaped guard. Toushiro keeps Hyourinmaru on his back attached to a green cloth he wears which goes over his shoulder, across his chest and around up his back, with a round buckle in the middle keeping the cloth together. Hyourinmaru is classed as the strongest Ice type Zanpaku-to within all of Soul Society.
Initial release
Release Call: Sit upon the frozen heavens Main Attribute: Ice Information: It's appearance does not change except that it spawns a long chain with a hook, attached to the end of the handle. The main difference is that in Initial release, Toushiro can control the weather of water and ice, and is able to create and throw a giant ice Chinese Dragon from the tip of Hyourinmaru.
Initial release: Abilities
The ability to freeze. If the Dragon thrown from Hyourinmaru makes contact with something, that area is entirely frozen in ice, and if there is water around, it will increase the intensity and radius of the frozen area. So if Toushiro uses his ability to control weather and make it rain or snow, Toushiro can make a bigger radius to freeze with the Dragon. The chain which is located at the end of Hyourinmaru's handle can also freeze an object it makes contact with. So if Toushiro has to get close, he can wrap the opponent with the chain to immobilize them before striking.
Final release
Name: Daiguren Hyourinmaru Main Attribute: Ice Information: Changing into it's Final release, ice will start to emerge from out the back of the hilt and travel up Toushiro's arm, down his back and across his other arm. The ice then starts to take a shape, as his right arm changes into an ice Dragon's head, his left arm turns into an ice claw and his back will sprout two large ice wings aswell as an ice tail. Flying above the wings are three, four pointed stars known as the Flowers Of Ice. This is what tells you how long Toushiro can keep the Final release up for. Gradually over time, a piece of the flower will shatter. One every piece of every flower has shattered, Toushiro will lose his Final release and revert back down to normal.
Final release: Abilities
Much like his Initial release ability, Toushiro can freeze objects and areas. Except this time, the radius and strength of the freeze in Final release is far bigger and much stronger than before. Also, Toushiro now has the ability to create icicles which freeze on impact by swinging his Zanpaku-to. Finally, anything which Toushiro's body touches will freeze due to his body being coated in ice. Due to this ability, this allows Toushiro to swing his tail around as a weapon to try and freeze objects aswell. But Toushiro mainly only uses his tail as a last resort as it can leave him open.
Final release: Abilities
Ryusenka. Toushirou swiftly makes a circle like motion with Hyourinmaru leaving a white trail. Then Toushiro thrusts Hyourinmaru through the opponent freezing them inside and out before the ice explodes shattering the opponent into pieces.
Final release: Abilities
Sennen Koorirou. Toushiro creates a dozen large ice shards to surround the opponent/s. The Ice shards are then brought together closing in on the opponent/s and trap them. The ice shards then slowly squeeze the opponent/s and crush them, completely freezing them and trapping them within thick ice.
